Afri's Role in Dev-Ed
Afri engages in development education in order to promote critical thinking and to effect change at a personal and institutional level. Through development education, Afri seeks to present an alternative vision, to motivate and influence policy on peace and human rights issues and in particular to raise awareness about the link between issues of conflict and development, specifically the impact that conflict has on the development prospects of individuals and communities throughout the world.
Afri Fresh Approach
Afri has intensively reviewed its development education strategy and has come up with fresh approaches to increase its relevance and impact for a new generation. Building on Afri's strengths, the new strategy will make use of theatre to foster creativity and innovation; integrate critical thinking with robust analysis and research; build deeper understanding through networking with organisations in the global South; and improve stakeholder communication by availing of the latest technology.
